Swimming

I was a competitive swimmer since I was 12yo until I turned 18yo. During that time I competed in countless competitions with my team “ANV interlomas”.  My best trials were the 50m freestyle, the 100m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 50m butterfly and the 100m butterfly. I was sprinter so short trials were my specialty. I really cherish my memories from this time because it really was an experience training  over 20 hours per week on top of my studies. It taught me discipline, teamwork and gave me a very strong mental.

The biggest competition I ever assisted was the “Circuito Nacional” it was a competition that actually was a qualifying round for the Olympic games. I only got times on the 50m freestyle which was my best trial but it was still quite an accomplishment. This was also my last national competition. My time in the 50m freestyle was a high 24 seconds.

Climbing (Bouldering)

I started climbing during my semester abroad in Germany. I fell in love with the sport because I really liked how I actually had to think the problem  through and find solutions while also using my body.

I practice this sport regularly and it really is my reason to stay fit. I don’t do it too often though because I don’t like over stressing my fingers because I also play piano. I go to the gym regularly and focus on training that will help me climb better and faster.

Gym

I go to the gym regularly and focus on strength training for climbing. It is my way of not dropping the discipline I got from swimming and I also enjoy the feeling of doing exercise and improving myself everyday.
